The Music Man: Peerless Preston reprises his Broadway role as sales man con guy Prof. Harold Hill who captivates an Iowa town with visions of uniformed marching band. Lars and the Real Girl: Nice film in regards to socially shocked Gosling, who buys a life sized doll and treats her as if she's alive, to the appall of his older sibling, and brother in law, and the neighbors in their tight knit society. Luckily, an understanding physician (Clarkson) guides them in the right direction. Cast includes Ryan Gosling, Emily Mortimer, Patricia Clarkson, Kelli Gamer, and Paul Schneider. (106 minutes, 2007)
For Love of Ivy: A family desires to keep their servant, so they find her a man to keep her happy. The film is a ho-hum black romance at best. Cast includes Sidney Poitier, Abbey Lincoln, Guy Bridges, Leon Bibb, Nan, Martin, Lauri Peters, and Carroll O'Connor. (102 minutes, 1968)
Gorgo: This film is an excellent sci-fi tale of a captured ocean beast put on display in London, and the massive parent, who is coming to the rescue. The film has excellent visual effects. Cast includes Bill Travers, William Sylvester, Vincent Fall, Bruce Seton, and Joseph O?Connor. (78 minutes, 1961)
Red Sun: East meets West in this strange tale of a samurai fighter chasing a priceless Japanese sword stolen from a train crossing the American West. Cast includes Charles Bronson, Ursula Andress, Toshiro Mifune, Alain Delon, and Capucine. (112 minutes, 1972)
The General Died at Dawn: A fine, powerful drama of Oriental enthrall, with mercenary Cooper falling in love with foreign agent Carroll when fighting the sinister warlord Tamiroff. Cast includes Gary Cooper, Madeleine Carroll, Akim Tamiroff, Dudley Digges, Porter Chamber, and William Frawley. (97 minutes, 1936)
The Little Shop of Horrors: This is a classic black comedy in reference to youthful schnook who creates bloodthirsty plant and is made to kill in request to fuel it with human blood. Originally notorious as the film was shot In 2 days, however now thought to be one of Corman's best films. Nicholson has comical part as masochist who flourishes on dental suffering; Cast includes Jonathan Cloud, Jackie Joseph, Mel Welles, Dick Miller, Myrtle Vail, and Jack Nicholson. (70 minutes, 1960)
Mr. Nanny: A lame brained comedy characterizing Hogan as a fighter employed to look after a set of ruined, disregarded rich kids (whom nut ball Johansen is plotting to abduct). Cast includes Terry "Hulk" Hogan (Bollea), Sherman Hemsley, Austin Pendleton, Robert Gorman, Madeline Zima, and David Johansen. (84 minutes, 1984)
Foxfire: An adaptation of a Joyce Carol Oates novel in reference to 4 high school gals who form a clique after an enigmatic lady drifter comes to town. The cast tries however they're finished in by a terrible script that plays like an R-rated B movie. Cast includes Hedy Burress, Angelina Jolie, Jenny Lewis, Jenny Shimizu, Sarah Rosenberg, Peter Facinelli, Streak Mihok, Cathy Moriarty, Richard Beymer, and John Diehl. (102 minutes, 1996)
